Under the supervision of the Town Administrator performs a variety of custodial duties to maintain the building and surrounding grounds in a clean, orderly, sanitary and safe condition.
Works with minimal supervision, self-starting projects preferred. Performs manual labor including maintenance of building and grounds, and a variety of minor maintenance jobs. Takes responsibility for the care and condition of the Town Offices and Gilmore Hall. Performs minor appropriate vehicle maintenance work.

Grounds keeping duties:
Care of the grounds including grass mowing, raking leaves and grass, hedge trimming, snow shoveling, litter patrol, weeding, trim painting, sweeping walkways and other repair and maintenance duties as assigned. Other grounds keeping work as assigned by the Highway Superintendent.
Emptying trash, vacuuming floors, cleaning and re-stocking the bathrooms, washing and waxing floors, dusting blinds, washing walls, cleaning and changing filters in air conditions, washing windows, painting and other maintenance and repair duties as assigned by the Town Administrator.
Eighteen years of age.
Valid Mass. Driver’s License and a good driving record
High School diploma or equivalent.
Positive CORI determination.
Knowledge, Ability and Skills
Able to safely operate machinery such as a lawn mower.
Able to do minor vehicle maintenance.
Able to do minor repairs on items such as doors, locks, windows, carpets, walls, floor, etc.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasions.
