Aerial Spraying Update
Reminder: aerial spraying for Bridgewater, Easton, Norton, Raynham, Taunton, and West Bridgewater. In response to the ongoing threat of Eastern equine encephalitis or triple E, a serious disease spread by mosquitoes, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health has recommended an additional round of aerial spraying of pesticide in six communities in Southeastern Massachusetts starting tonight, August 13th, to reduce the number of infected mosquitoes.
It is expected that the following 6 communities will be sprayed in their entirety tonight: Bridgewater, Easton, Norton, Raynham, Taunton, and West Bridgewater. Aerial spraying will start at approximately 7:45 PM and last until approximately 2:30 AM. The schedule for spraying is dependent upon weather conditions and may change at the last moment. If spraying is postponed, information will be available after 8:15 PM on the DPH website at www.Mass.Gov\DPH.
