Seniors can call our statewide, toll-free hotline, and press 2 to be immediately connected with one of our counselors, avoiding any extended wait times.  Counselors can screen callers for SNAP eligibility and start the application over the phone.  A counselor will also follow-up with them throughout the process to answer any questions or concerns that might arise.  Counselors are also available to answer questions from current recipients and help to ensure they are receiving the maximum benefit.  To further provide assistance, during the months of February, March, and April the FoodSource Hotline has ensured extra staff during Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm to respond to Senior Line callers.
