Due to the passing of long time Cemetery Commissioner Marion Sharrock, there is a vacancy which needs to be filled. The Board of Selectmen and Cemetery Commission will be accepting applications for the next few weeks. They can be sent to the Selectmen's Office , 53 Orchard Street. The appointment is made jointly by the Board of Selectmen and the remaining members of the Cemetery commission.
Applicants should be aware that this is an elected position which will be filled by appointment only until the Town Election in April 2005, at which time they will be required to run for the office.
