The Raynham COA board meeting held December 1, 2003 was called to order at 9:40 AM by Chairman Betty Thompson, The secretary’s report was accepted with corrections. The treasurer’s report was accepted. Both the Outreach Report and the Director’s Report were accepted after being read and discussed. On the reports on meetings Theresa gave the BES report and told about the services BES provides. She said that the money is a big issue with BES. Joyce attended the department head meeting at which town policies were discussed. The only correspondence was a thank you letter from Carol Keith,
daughter of Cliff Butterworth thanking us for our birthday celebration for her father’s 100th birthday.
Committee Reports / Old Business
a. Betty reported on sheriff/prisoners-will not be doing anything until spring-we will keep faxing the sheriff office.
b. Update on landscaping-Everett is doing an excellent job
c. Planned activities for Dec. and Jan.
1. Wreath decorating- Dec. 6 @ 10:00 AM cost $7.00
2. Ladies Breakfast-Dec 15 $2.00
3. Cooking for one or two-Lyn Petruski-Dec.29
4. New Years Party-Jan 2 sign up Dec. 9, 10 & 11
5. Men’s breakfast Jan 12, sign up Jan. 6, 7, &8
6. Flexology program, Jan 15, sign up Jan 6, 7, & 8
7. Foxwoods Jan 22-Cost $15.00 Sign up Jan 13, 14, & 15.
8. A lady from Life Care Center will come to talk to us Jan.
Residents who live in Life Care permanently are classified as Raynham
residents.
d. BJ’s- We now have the card.
e. Birthday Party-discussion with guest Eileen McPherson who will chair
celebrations. Parties could be held every two months-a light lunch would be
served Birthday celebrants would come free of charge, sign up Jan 20, 21 &22.
f. Holidays at the center-Dot Gallagher will decorate for Christmas.
g. Estimate for Jimmy Boyle/Arpin-water & odor problems, work is being done
to correct it.
h. Walking Group-Supt of Schools has given us permission to use the track at
the new middle school.
i. See above for wreath making
j. Cooking for 1 or 2 See above
k. By-laws and changes put in town records in Aug, 2003
l. Paw Sox-will get tickets when needed
m. CHORES -working on this project
n. Singing group-Anne Williams will head this up-made up of seniors
o. Spring fling-at Stone Forge April 15. Ban called Raynham Shakers will be organized by Leo.
New Business:

2. Valentines-perhaps combine with birthday party.
3. March corn beef and cabbage, Mar. 18 Loretta will contact D’Avilla caterer
4. May baskets seniors will make for shut ins, nursing home people and meals on wheels.
5. Suggested program by Loretta go to Bridgewater college for play-price $7.00
