Transfer Station Hours:
Tuesday-Thursday 7:00 AM – 4:15 PM
Friday 7:00 AM – 10:45 AM
Saturday 7:00 AM – 4:15 PM
Closed Sunday & Monday
The office will be open Saturday, January 28; Saturday, February 4; and Saturday, February 11 so that residents may purchase Transfer Station Permits. The office is not open on any other Saturdays.
Brush Pile Hours:
April - November: Saturday, 9:00 AM-1:00 PM
December - March: Closed
The brush pile is for brush only. Leaves and yard waste must go to the yard waste pile at the Transfer Station.
Transfer Station Costs:
Permits provide entry to the facility. Permits are available at the Highway Department Office and the Selectmen's Office at Town Hall.
To purchase a permit, you must have the registration of the vehicle that the permit is to be affixed to. (Registration must have a Raynham address listed. If you have recently moved, please bring proof of Raynham residency.)
Permits are a requirement in order to use the Pay as You Throw Program.
$70 Full year permit
$35 January-June or July-December permit (half year is per calendar year only)
$10 for second permit (for a vehicle registered at the same address, or a replacement permit)
Bag tags are used to dispose of household trash and bulky waste. Tags come in sheets of five tags, priced at $10.00 each, and they never expire. One tag is used to throw out one bag of trash [50 lbs. or less]. See chart below for bulky waste.

Anti Freeze can be recycled by appointment only. Anti-freeze only; no mixed or contaminated substances please.
Call 508-824-2718 to make an appointment to dispose of your anti-freeze.
Cathode Ray Tubes (CRTs) (and other used electronics)
Place in designated area, as directed by attendant.
5 waste tags will be required on each TV and/or computer monitor.
Construction and Demolition (C&D)
Quantities will be measured based upon the number of cubic yards received at facility and an invoice will be issued at the end of the month for that material based on $20 per cubic yard except for commercial users of which it will be based on $30 per cubic yard. All construction and demolition waste must be paid for with tags at the time of disposal. Tags are $10 for a sheet of 5.
Place in designated area as directed by attendant.
3-5 waste tags will be required in accordance with piece of furniture; attendant will determine how many tags are needed depending on size and weight of item.
The Town sponsors one Hazardous Waste Day per year. In order to participate, you must be a Raynham Resident. Proof of residency is required.
If you have hazardous waste to dispose of before the scheduled Household Hazardous Waste event, New England Disposal Technologies in Sutton, MA is the closest household hazardous waste drop-off center.
Needles, syringes and sharps containers may not be put in recycling bins or trash. Full sharps containers can be disposed of at the Raynham Fire Station. All sharps must be in official sharps disposal containers, no plastic bottles accepted.
Paint can be recycled from April to November, by appointment only. Click here for details. If you have more paint than the limits detailed, you can bring it to the Hazardous Waste Day. Only latex paint may be placed in the regular trash if it is completely dried up (solid).
There are separate, clearly marked containers for each type of recyclable material.
Recycling is free of charge, and helps reduce trash fees. More recycling means less trash!
Materials Raynham Recycles: Glass, tin cans, aluminum cans, newspaper, cardboard, milk cartons, Plastics #1-5, and metals. No tissues, paper towels or paper contaminated with food products, gift
wrap, juice boxes or other wax or foil coated materials
Used Motor Oil
Used motor oil can be recycled anytime at the Highway Department. Used motor oil only, no mixed or contaminated oils please. See the attendendant in the recycling area for assistance.
Yard Waste (grass and leaves)
Grass and leaves may be placed in the yard waste pile at the Transfer Station. All yard waste must be emptied from containers, no paper or plastic bags allowed in the yard waste pile. Commercial vendors must have a Commercial Yard Waste Permit. See Courtney at the Highway Department for details.
Brush will be accepted at the Gardiner Street brush drop-off area on Saturdays from April through November (9:00 AM to 1:00 PM) A fee for brush will be charged for commercial users only of $4.00 per cubic yard.
The Town of Raynham abides by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts waste ban that prohibits the disposal of recyclable and toxic materials with trash per 310 CMR 19.017.
