The Raynham Planning Board meeting of October 11, 2007 opened at 6:00 p.m.
Board members present: Daniel Andrade, John Canto and Henry Ellis
Board members not present: Burke Fountain, Chris Gallagher
Staff present: Town Planner Richard McCarthy
6:05 p.m. – Town Planner Update: Mr. McCarthy presented proposed zoning amendments for the Fall Town Meeting warrant. Letter dated October 9, 2007 was received from Randall Buckner, Town Administrator, regarding the amendments. After discussion of amendments to the zoning by-laws and the zoning map, the Board scheduled a public hearing for the proposed amendments for November 8, 2007, 6:15 p.m.
6:45 p.m. – Awais Farms Subdivision: The public hearing for Awais Farms was reconvened. Attorney Philip Nesralla, Brockton, MA, was present as applicant’s representative. The Board and Attorney Nesralla discussed how to proceed with the plan considering the fact that a variance granted by the Board of Appeals several years prior prohibits further subdivision of the property. After discussion, Attorney Nesralla requested the applicant be allowed to withdraw the subdivision plan without prejudice. Motion was made and seconded to allow the request to withdraw the plan without prejudice; motion passed by unanimous vote.
7:15 p.m. – Jess Marie Estates Special Permit: Correspondence dated October 11, 2007 was received from Nick Dufresne, P.E., Hayward-Boynton & Williams, requesting a continuance of the hearing. Motion was made and seconded to continue the public hearing for Jess Marie Estates to October 25, 2007, 7:15 p.m. The hearing was continued with no testimony taken.
7:20 p.m – Form A, Broadway/Massasoit Greyhound Association, Inc.: John Holmgren, Grete Boahannon and a land surveyor, all of J. K. Holmgren Engineering, Inc., Brockton, MA, appeared before the Board with the proposed Form A plan. After discussion, motion was made and seconded to approve the plan entitled “Plan of Land In Raynham, Bristol County, Mass. Prepared For Massasoit Greyhound Association, Inc. 1958 Broadway, Raynham, Mass.,” dated September 25, 2007, prepared by J.K. Holmgren Engineering, Inc., Brockton, MA; motion passed by unanimous date. Board members signed the plan.
There was no further business and the meeting adjourned at approximately 7:50 p.m.
