Board of Selectmen Minutes 12/14/2004

December 14, 2004
Chairman Raymond W. Platt called the regular meeting of the Raynham Board of Selectmen to order at 7:21pm.

Present were Raymond W. Platt, John Donahue, and Donald L. McKinnon.

Mr. Donahue moved and Mr. McKinnon seconded to accept the minutes of the
December 7, 2004 meeting.  Mr. Platt made it unanimous.

Mr. Platt informed all that the Board was returning from an Executive Session regarding negotiations the IMA with the City of Taunton.

Mr. McKinnon recommendation for the Landfill fee would be to remain the same as last year, $50.  Mr. McKinnon motioned and Mr. Donahue seconded for the fee of the Landfill to remain the same as year at $50.  Mr. Platt made it unanimous.

Mr. Buckner’s Town Administrator’s Report was reviewed.

Mr. McKinnon motioned and Mr. Donahue seconded to cancel the Board of Selectmen Meeting scheduled for December 28, 2004 and to close Town Hall during evening hours due to the Holiday Season.  Mr. Platt made it unanimous.

Mr. McKinnon reminded all that on Friday, December 17, 2004 at 6pm is the Lighting of Raynham. Mr. Donahue reminded all that various Girl Scout Troops will be caroling at the Stone Church also on Friday, December 17, 2004 at 6pm.

Correspondence – The Board received a request to waiver regulations pertaining to drainage in a subdivision at Berry Hill Adult Retirement Community.  The two waivers are as follows: 1) to allow a 6’ berm at the top of the detention in lieu of the required 15’wide stone roadway, and
2) To allow drainage basin with a 3:1 side slope in lieu of a 4:1 side slope.  Mr. Perry recommendation would be to approve the request for waivers.  Mr. McKinnon motioned and
Mr. Donahue seconded to approve the request of waivers re: drainage at the Berry Hill Retirement Community.  Mr. Platt made it unanimous.

Correspondence – The Board received from Frederick S. Nagle, Sr., of 45 Ridge Road, Raynham an application to be a Special Police Officer.  Mr. McKinnon motioned and Mr. Donahue seconded to forward the application to Chief King.  Mr. Platt made it unanimous.

Correspondence – The Board received from the Sewer Commissioners a list of betterments for Phase V to be approved for submittal to the Registry of Deeds.  Mr. McKinnon motioned and Mr. Donahue seconded to commit the betterments for Phase V as submitted by the Sewer Commissioners.  Mr. Platt made it unanimous.

7:31pm-Mr. McKinnon motioned and Mr. Donahue seconded to adjourn for the performance of administrative duties, signing Bills and Warrants with no business to be conducted afterwards.  Mr. Platt made it unanimous.
