January 13, 2009 BOARD OF SELECTMEN
Chairmen Joseph Pacheco called the regular meeting of the Raynham Board of Selectmen to order at 7:06pm.
Present were Joseph Pacheco, Donald L. McKinnon and Marie Smith.
Mr. McKinnon motioned and Mrs. Smith seconded to accept the minutes of the January 6, 2009
Mr. Pacheco informed all that the Board was returning from an Executive Session regarding Contracts.
Mr. Buckner presented a calendar listing all Tag Days requests received. Mrs. Smith motioned and Mr. McKinnon seconded to approve all Tag Days as listed. Mr. Pacheco made it unanimous.
A request was received from American Mobile Homes for Mr. & Mrs. Mills, 33 Bridge Street to install a 12’ x 60’ mobile home as temporary living quarters during the reconstruction of their home. Mr. Pacheco informed all that the Board of Health Agent recommended approving a permit for the mobile home with time period of 9-months. Mrs. Smith motioned and Mr. McKinnon seconded to approve the permit for the installation of a temporary mobile home at 33 Bridge Street for a 9 months. Mr. Pacheco made it unanimous.
Mr. Buckner’s Town Administrator’s Report was reviewed.
Mr. McKinnon informed all that the newly appointed K-8 School Study Committee met this evening.
Mrs. Smith informed all that she is awaiting notice of a meeting date from the Fire Department for the Safety Equipment Committee.
Mr. Pacheco informed all that he was contacted today by the MMA as a result of the letter he sent last week. Mr. Pacheco stated that they had suggested scheduling a meeting with their Finance Committee. Mr. Pacheco informed that them that an invitation should be addressed to the entire Board.
Mr. Pacheco said that the Casino Task Force has scheduled their next meeting in the Town of Carver.
Correspondence – The Board received information regarding the Station Area Workshop for the South Coast Rail on Wednesday, January 21, 2009, 5-7pm at the Raynham Town Hall.
Correspondence – The Board received from the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, MA Rehabilitation information and posters regarding Commonwealth Home Modification Loan Program.
Correspondence – The Board received from the Executive Office for Administration and Finance, Human Resource Division, information regarding the next scheduled Municipal Police Officer Exam on April 25, 2009.
Correspondence – The Board received the December monthly report from the Fire Department.
7:55pm – Mr. McKinnon motioned and Mrs. Smith seconded to adjourn for the performance of administrative duties, signing Bills and Warrants, and to go into Executive Session with no business to be conducted afterwards. Mr. Pacheco made it unanimous.
