Board of Selectmen Minutes 02/02/2010
February 2, 2010                                                        BOARD OF SELECTMEN

Chairmen Donald McKinnon called the regular meeting of the Raynham Board of Selectmen to order at 7:01pm.

Present were Donald L. McKinnon, and Joseph Pacheco.  Absent was Marie Smith.

Mr. Pacheco motioned and Mr. McKinnon seconded to accept the minutes of the January 26, 2010 meeting as printed.  The vote made it unanimous.

Mr. Buckner informed that the deadline for applications for the vacant Assistant Wiring Inspector position was yesterday and that the Town had received only one letter of interest: Bob Bessette of 374 Forest Street.  Mr. Pacheco motioned and Mr. McKinnon seconded to appoint Bob Bessette to the position of Assistant Wiring Inspector.  The vote made it unanimous.

Mr. Buckner’s Town Administrator’s Report was reviewed.

Mr. Buckner said that an application for a Seasonal Wire & Malt Beverage License had been received from George Moniz Jr., d/b/a/ Raynham Laundry Center at 575 South Street West.  Mr. Pacheco motioned and Mr. McKinnon seconded to schedule a Public Hearing on February 26, 2010 at 7:10pm.  The vote made it unanimous. Mr. Buckner said he would forward the application to Mr. Perry and Chief Pacheco for review.

Both Mr. McKinnon and Mr. Pacheco attended the opening of the RAYCAM studio last week and commented on an outstanding job done by Mr. Heylin and his team to get the studio up and running.

Correspondence – The Board received information from the MMA entitled Governor’s FY11 Budget Level Funds Main Local Aid Accounts.

Correspondence – The Board received Form-500 from Comcast which contained customer issues along with Comcast’s responses.

Correspondence – The Board received a request for a Tag Day from Taunton Gridiron, Taunton High School Football Team for August 20 & 22.  Mr. Pacheco motioned and Mr. McKinnon seconded to approve the request for a Tag Day from Taunton Gridiron for August 20 & 22.  The vote made it unanimous.

Mr. McKinnon stated that the Board had received for review the Housing Plan which was started by Mr. McCarthy and completed by Ms. Whalley.

7:30pm – Mr. Pacheco motioned and Mr. McKinnon seconded to adjourn for the performance of administrative duties, signing Bills and Warrants with no business to be conducted afterwards.  The vote made it unanimous
