May 4, 2010 BOARD OF SELECTMEN
Chairman Marie Smith called the regular meeting of the Raynham Board of Selectmen to order at 7:04pm.
Present were Marie Smith, Donald L. McKinnon, and Joseph Pacheco
Mr. McKinnon motioned and Mr. Pacheco seconded to accept the minutes of the April 27, 2010 meeting as printed. Mrs. Smith made it unanimous.
7:05 - Public Hearing – Westborough Beverage Corp., d/b/a WalMart Superstore #2021---Application for change in Officers/Directors.
Mr. McKinnon motioned and Mr. Pacheco seconded to approve the application for change in Officers/Directors for Westborough Beverage Corp., d/b/a WalMart Superstore #2021. Mrs. Smith
made it unanimous.
Mrs. Smith read the Student Government Day Proclamation proclaiming May 7, 2010 as Student Government Day in the Town of Raynham. Mr. McKinnon motioned and Mr. Pacheco seconded to approve May 7, 2010 as Student Government Day in the Town of Raynham. Mrs. Smith made it unanimous.
Mr. Buckner’s Town Administrator’s Report was reviewed.
Mr. Buckner suggested the Board invite in the owner of Joe T’s Pub to discuss the future of the establishment. Board members concurred.
Mrs. Smith asked Mr. Buckner if there has been anyone interested in the Community Garden plots.
Mr. Buckner said there have been 6-7 inquiries.
Correspondence – The Board received the Fire Department Activity Report for April.
Correspondence – The Board received from Diane Travers, Homes for Our Troops, a request to conduct the 2nd Annual 5-Mile Road Race to benefit the Taunton-based Homes for Our Troops on November 7, 2010 starting at 10am. Mr. McKinnon motioned and Mr. Pacheco seconded to approve the 2nd Annual 5-Mile Road Race to benefit the Taunton based Homes for Our Troops on November 7, 2010, pending approval from Chief Pacheco. Mrs. Smith made it unanimous.
Correspondence – The Board received from the Merrill School information regarding a Community Field Trip for Kindergarten students which will include a visit to the Town Hall, Library, Police and Fire Department on June 2-3, 2010.
7:26pm – Mr. McKinnon motioned and Mr. Pacheco seconded to adjourn for the performance of administrative duties, signing Bills and Warrants with no business to be conducted afterwards.
Mrs. Smith made it unanimous.
