Chairman Karen Donahue called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.
Present were Joseph Pacheco, Marie Smith and Karen Donahue

Acceptance of the Minutes
Mr. Pacheco motioned and Mrs. Smith seconded to accept the minutes of the May 23, 2017 meeting as printed.  Mrs. Donahue made it unanimous.  

New Business

The Board discussed the debt consolidation that would result in the Town’s saving money.  Mr. Pacheco made a motion that the Board approve and close the warrant for a special Town Meeting on June 27th at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall so that we can attempt to approve the allocation of $300,000 in the surplus revenue pay down and also to refinance some of the excluded debt for a savings for the taxpayers of approximately $800,000, Mrs. Smith seconded and Mrs. Donahue made it unanimous.  

Mrs. Smith wanted to let everyone know that the Town is starting its series of authors coming to South School.  The first meeting will be Thursday, June 1st at 7:00 p.m. with Michele McPhee who is a columnist for the Boston Herald and has recently written a book about the marathon bombing.  

Mrs. Donahue wanted to congratulate all of the graduates of B-R Regional High School.  The commencement will be held on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.   She also attended the RAVE breakfast last week and wanted to congratulate everyone that was there.  

Town Administrator’s Report
Mr. Flaherty reviewed the Town Administrator’s Report.   The vendors for the North School painting and door replacement have been notified to begin work and are anticipating an additional bid for the plumbing work.  
The MA ADA grant is almost done.  
The next Selectmen’s Meeting will be held on June 13th (off June 6th)
Mr. Flaherty will be attending a public contracting course on June 6th, 7th and 8th in Boston.
The next North School Committee Meeting will be held on June 14th.  
The next Department Head Meeting will be held on June 15th.    
Correspondence was received from MIAA Member Services for renewal of their proposal for 2018.  
A Proclamation was received from Governor Charles Baker for a Race Amity Day Observance for June 11th and read.  
A Tag Day request was received from Laurie Truehart for the following dates:  June 27th, 28th & 29th  and July 5th & 6th.  
A copy of the contract for the Mill Street bridge replacement was received.   Mrs. Smith made a motion to accept, Mr. Pacheco seconded and Mrs. Donahue made it unanimous.  

7:11 p.m. Mr. Pacheco motioned and Mrs. Donahue seconded to adjourn for the performance of administrative duties, signing of Bills and Warrants, with no business to be conducted afterwards.
