BID NOTICE
TOWN OF RAYNHAM, MASSACHUSETTS


The Town of Raynham is hereby soliciting sealed bids for the White Street Pedestrian Bridge Over Forge River. Bids will be open at the Office of the Superintendent of the Raynham Highway Department, 1555 King Philip Street on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 11 A.M. Bids received after such time will not be accepted. Sealed envelopes containing bids must be clearly marked in accordance with the Bidding Contract Requirements. Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a BID BOND, CASH, or, CERTIFIED CHECK issued by a responsible bank or trust company in the amount of 5% of the bid price.


The work consists of the construction of a pedestrian bridge along White Street adjacent to the existing White Street vehicular bridge over the Forge River in the Town of Raynham, MA. The work also includes the construction of hot mix asphalt sidewalk to connect the proposed pedestrian bridge to the existing sidewalk along White Street; grading slopes with loam and seed as well as modified rockfill; and traffic management during construction.

A hard copy of the plans and specifications may be reviewed at the Raynham Highway Department between the hours of 8 A.M. and 4:15 P.M., Monday through Thursday beginning March 18, 2020.


All bidders must be prequalified by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation – Highway Division for Bridge Construction.
