AN EMERGENCY ORDER OF THE BOARD OF SELECTMEN

The Board of Selectmen held an emergency meeting on Monday, March 16th at 12:00 PM at the Town of Raynham Memorial Town Hall, 558 South Main Street, Raynham, Ma. 02767. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and take action on emergency matters around the suspension of town services impacted by the COVID-19 public health emergency.

The Board voted to suspend all town operations and services, except for emergency services, starting Tuesday, March 17, 2020, through Saturday, March 21, 2020. As a precaution, all publicly accessible buildings will be deep cleaned while facilities are closed. Additionally, the Board took action to suspend all public programming inclusive of Council of Aging (Senior Center) activities and parks, fields, and ball courts overseen by the Town’s Parks and Recreation Department.

Effective Monday March 23, 2020, Town offices will open for employees to continue operations, but will be closed to the public. Citizens are encouraged to contact town departments by email and telephone for assistance.

The March 31st Special Town Meeting will be convened, and immediately tabled until a future date to-be-determined, which will be advertised consistent with past practice.

The deadline for all excise taxes, utility bills, and any other dues or fees will remain as printed.

The Town’s March 31st deadline for submitting Spring Town Meeting warrant articles has been extended until a future date to-be-determined.

The actions mentioned in the above order are inclusive of all town departments except for emergency personnel. Residents should continue to contact 911 for emergency situations.
