Job Opening - Health Agent

RAYNHAM BOARD OF HEALTH, AGENT (FULL-TIME)

The town of Raynham is seeking a permanent, full-time Health Agent. The salary for this position is up to $80,000, depending upon experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities include enforcement of state and local public health laws and regulations. Processes applications, approves plans, issues appropriate permits and licenses, handles complaints, and investigates alleged nuisances.  Performs sanitary inspections of private sewage disposal systems. Inspects restaurants, food handling, and processing establishments, nursing homes, group residence, child-care centers, and other areas as required by law.

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health or a related field; three (3) or more years prior work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licensed Massachusetts Registered Sanitarian or Massachusetts Certified Health Officer, or the ability to obtain license/certification within one year of employment.

Valid Massachusetts driver's license; Certification from DEP as a licensed Soil Evaluator; Certification from DEP as a licensed Title 5 System Inspector; Food Protection Manager; NIMS and ICS training and Certification. Lead Determinator; Certified Pool and Spa Operator is desirable.
