Insect Repellant for Residents

EEE Notificaton

The Lowe’s of Raynham has been extremely generous and donated some additional cases of insect repellant to the health department for public distribution. The repellant will be free of charge to Raynham residents and will be available at the health office during regular business hours.

While two rounds of aerial spraying have been completed and nighttime temperatures are beginning to drop, the risk of EEE is not eliminated. It remains crucial that people continue to protect themselves from mosquito bites until the first hard frost. The hours from dusk to dawn are peak biting times for many mosquitoes. Consider rescheduling outdoor activities that occur during evening or early morning. If you are outdoors at any time, take steps to avoid being bitten by moving indoors, covering up and/or applying appropriate insect repellant.
