Inspections Department Services Policy

Notice

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19 virus, effective Thursday, March 26, 2020, the Raynham Town Hall is closed to the public.  The Raynham Inspections Department will be available to the public through US Postal Service, telephone and email. Permit applications can be obtained through our website – http://www.town.raynham.ma.us

To help prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus, the Town of Raynham Inspections Department will perform inspections as follows:

  • As of Thursday, March 26, 2020 we will continue to perform inspections on exterior work and unoccupied buildings.
  • We will continue to conduct inspections of occupied buildings on a case by case basis.  Please call for inspections and inform us if anyone in your home is showing any signs of illness, and please advise us ahead of time if you are uncomfortable having an Inspector entering your home so we can make other accommodations.

During this State of Emergency only, it will be at the discretion of the Inspector to accept digital photographs/videos to ensure compliance with the code.  Please continue to contact the Inspector as usual and they will confirm with you as whether they will be performing a site visit and or accepting photos/videos.

DO NOT JUST SUBMIT PHOTOS/VIDEOS AND ASSUME IT IS APPROVED.

Please note that these policies are subject to change without notice as this State of Emergency continues.  We will make every effort to continue to serve and assist you as best we safely are able to.

Thank you for your patience during this difficult and stressful time.

 Respectfully,

 Robert Iafrate

 Building Commissioner/ Zoning Enforcement Officer
