Conservation Commission

The following Raynham Conservation Commission open space parcels are available for passive recreational use (all parcels have hiking trails open to the public):

Hewitts Pond Conservation Area – North Main Street
  • Pond, trail, dam, bird watching (No hunting is allowed at the Hewitt Pond Conservation Area located on North Main Street or the Kransberg Conservation Area located on King Street at Dam Lot Brook.)
Forge River Conservation Area – South Main Street
  • River, forest trail, historical site, bird watching
Raynham State Forest – Locust Street
  • Upland forest, trail

ALL PUBLIC HEARINGS AND MEETINGS HEARD BY THE RAYNHAM CONSERVATION COMMISSION WILL TAKE PLACE AT 5:30 P.M. IN THE RAYNHAM VETERANS’ MEMORIAL TOWN HALL, DONALD L. MCKINNON MEETING ROOM, 558 SOUTH MAIN STREET, RAYNHAM, MA 

 

Meetings are scheduled for the first and third Wednesdays of the month

Summer months (June, July & August) meetings are only held once a month
(or as needed and schedule subject to change)

Submission Deadlines

** Submission is considered complete once the Conservation Dept. has received at least (3) sets of hard copies (including full size set of plans) along with all applicable fees
